With a few days off work I actually get to see what the house looks like in daylight. I also get a clearer view of incoming invasions, though in this case it was a welcome one. Rather than the big flock of Grosbeaks we usually see, we were treated to some Bohemian Waxwings. They mustered over in a neighbors tree before landing in our front yard trees.
As an added bonus, I also caught a glimpse of a Common Redpoll at the backyard feeder. This was easily the one songbird I've waited for the longest to see since we moved here and I'm glad to finally be able to add it into my birding journal.
