I love magpies! I have never seen one up here though.

Magpies are the one bird people from back east notice first. At least that was the case for me. According to the guide book I got from Clare, a magpie's range does extend up into Yukon. You should be able to see them in the Whitehorse area. (They long tall and white flash of their underbelly in flight really catches the eye.) This is starting to get up toward the northern extreme of their range but you never know. I thought we were sitting outside of Blue Jay range here and was pleasantly proven wrong.
